Job Title:  Materials Assistant

Follow up daily with the material instructions established by the customer and follow the procedures established in the HCC Quality System.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for verifying that material quantities and specifications are in accordance with orders and making the necessary entries in the ERP system.
• Ensure that the storage and receipt of material is done under Ametek procedures.
• Segregate material that does not meet the established receipt requirements.
• Ensure that all stored material is identified with a receipt label and safety label (if required).
• Handling of hazardous substances in accordance with the hazardous material safety sheets, as well as identifying this material with hazardous material handling label.
• Support in the administration of the designated warehouse area, as well as the location of the inventory system related to this area. This responsibility includes activities such as: controlling the entry and exit of material into and out of the area, performing periodic inventories, performing the necessary transactions in the inventory system for the entry and exit of material, maintaining the identification of the inventory in the area, monitoring the disposition time and evaluation of the material, etc.
• Assist in the supervision of activities focused on the handling of productive material in shipping area, make transfers of raw material and material counting.
• Follow up of packing and shipping instructions required by customers.
• Responsible for the assortment of finished products according to the shipping plan.

Experience & Skills

• High school (preferred).
• 5 months of experience in the maquiladora industry.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Material handling.
• Document control.
