Job Title:  Jr Maintenance Engineer

Optimize the efficiency of equipment and production line processes by reducing downtime. Ensure smooth operations without unplanned line stoppages. Minimize production costs through continuous process improvement and preventive maintenance. Maintain equipment and processes in optimal working conditions. Actively participate in efforts to eliminate or reduce quality issues in coordination with the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Manufacturing in resolving equipment and/or process issues.
• Respond to service orders generated by the Andon system for maintenance.
• Improve existing processes and repair damaged machinery or equipment.
• Assist Engineering with production line setups.
• Install new production lines.
• Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures for all Aerospace equipment and facilities.
• Keep maintenance logs for Aerospace equipment and facilities up to date.
• Support production in meeting established goals.
• Implement layout changes to improve workflow and increase productivity.
• Participate in Kaizen events and other required improvement activities.
• Coordinate with external service providers (e.g., A/C maintenance, fire systems, X-ray, machining).
• Receive nitrogen and argon tank deliveries (Dewars) when required.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a technician in the maquiladora industry preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent preferred.
