Job Title: Indirect Procurement Manager

The Manager, Corporate Indirect Procurement will lead the category strategy and deployment for various indirect categories that may include, but are not limited to, MRO, Office Supplies, IT equipment, etc. This role supports our Mexico indirect suppliers and contracts, including a broad variety of goods and services for indirect categories. The individual will develop strategies for Mexico to leverage our spend across the organization (either within North America or globally, where possible) and drive continuous improvement of our suppliers. Strong influencing, collaboration, contracting and negotiating skills are essential to achieving success in this role.
This role will also assist AMETEK's operating units with ongoing support. This position is a member of AMETEK's global strategic procurement team and is not responsible for supply chain or direct material purchases.
Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Build and execute comprehensive category strategies that align with our global strategies enabling short and long term objectives.

Conduct regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders to measure progress and evolve strategies to address changes in business environment.

Partner with suppliers on process improvements, efficiencies and solutions to any issues that arise.

Identify opportunities to improve utilization and user experience of the P2P system.

Develop and document standard work instructions for indirect procurement processes.

Liaison between suppliers and AMETEK employees across various business units.

Communicate strategies and solutions to internal stakeholders and vendors in order to achieve financial goals, maintain timelines and ultimately liaise between internal and external stakeholders.

Develop and maintain supplier relationships that will deliver competitive advantages in cost, quality and delivery performance.

Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements for services to leverage company spend and achieve targeted cost reductions.

Analyze and report on spend/pricing through available data to make decisions on strategy and improvement opportunities.

Manage onboarding and implementation of new acquisitions and businesses to contracts, procurement processes, systems, etc.

Conduct competitive bids in optimal categories delivering the quickest savings to the organization.

Build strategy for Mexico indirect procurement and drive similar strategies across indirect spend globally.
Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field

Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing/ procurement experience with demonstrated results in building supplier relationships and influencing cost reduction

Experience in managing indirect request for proposals

Strong negotiation and contracting skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

Agility – Learns quickly when facing new situations, takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, extracts lessons learned from failures and mistakes

Collaboration experience within a global or multi-site environment and proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment

Ability to work autonomously and proactively
WORK LOCATION: This position could be located at Reynosa or Nuevo Laredo facilities.
TRAVEL: 30-50% Must be able to travel to the USA (US citizenship preferred)
