Job Description: 

The Finance Supervisor is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of complex accounting activities and financial analysis used by management to drive business decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply finance and accounting principles to accounting activities related to the Business Unit’s financial and operational planning and reporting, as directed by the BU Controller and DVP Finance.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (USA).
  • Perform month-end financial close, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Assist with uploading data to the HFM corporate reporting system.
  • Support preparation of monthly management reports, including schedules, worksheets, and narratives.
  • Prepare Budget vs. Actual variance analysis, track and document significant variances.
  • Prepare daily and monthly financial reports of key business indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate capital requisitions and maintain Fixed Assets in the FAS system, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain lease accounting records in KLT Lease Accounting software, including month-end reports and journal entries.
  • Perform quarterly SOX testing in accordance with corporate internal audit procedures.
  • Complete required documentation for SOX compliance.
  • Assist in expense forecasts and budget projections.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports comparing budget/forecast to actuals.
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret system-generated financial reports.
  • Cross-train with the Cost Accountant to provide backup support for inventory, costing analysis, and reporting, including annual standard cost roll.
  • Prepare recurring monthly journal entries.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Prior experience supervising or coordinating accounting processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Solid understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
