Job Description:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of outbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of finished goods in accordance with customer and company requirements. This role involves preparing documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records to support operational efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare items and/or units for shipment according to customer and internal requirements.
- Pack all products for shipment ensuring compliance with customer specifications and handling requirements.
- Complete all required shipping documentation, including packing slips and shipping labels.
- Perform final verification of all materials moved to shipping against the packing slip.
- Coordinate with finance to reconcile receipt documents for processing.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of shipping records with >99% accuracy.
- Communicate with logistics providers and customers to schedule and confirm shipments.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality systems.
- Perform other shipping-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an administrative or industrial engineering field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping or logistics.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English preferred).
- Proficient in computer systems and shipping software.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and Kanban methodology.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
