Job Description:
The Customer Service Clerk provides administrative and operational support to the Customer Service team. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth communication between departments and clients.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received via phone, EDI, fax, or email.
- Submit orders for entry and send order acknowledgments.
- Organize and file order documents and backup information.
- Maintain and manage “dead” files for canceled or obsolete orders.
- Order and track office supplies as needed.
- Assist with price updates and customer requirement changes.
- Request and file NAFTA certificates.
- Support physical inventory activities.
- Maintain records of surcharges and adders.
- Mail invoices to customers.
- Follow instructions from the Customer Service Manager.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar administrative or customer service role.
- Basic bilingual skills (Spanish – English).
- Familiarity with Oracle (preferred).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
