Job Description: 

As the CMM Technician you will ensure the quality of the product sent to Ametek Aerospace Reynosa clients through control activities implementation, assurance of quality, follow up on the client’s procedures and specifications that help to compliance the client and company quality expectations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections using CMM (PC-DMIS), optical comparator, and vision systems.
  • Lead and support 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Conduct final inspections according to procedures, drawings, and customer standards.
  • Execute source inspections (DSQR, DQR, DPRV, DIP, VIP) as required by clients.
  • Maintain valid certifications for all applicable customer inspection programs.
  • Assist in creating and updating inspection documents with Quality Engineering support.
  • Report and properly segregate non-conforming products.
  • Support functional and visual evaluations of finished goods for compliance.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier-designated scrap materials for final disposition.
  • Monitor process controls through audits and first-piece inspections.
  • Help define acceptance/rejection criteria based on standards and customer requirements.
  • Support data collection and quality tools to identify and resolve recurring issues.
  • Ensure implementation of quality certifications and process changes on assigned lines.
  • Participate in maintaining the company’s quality management system.
  • Take preventive actions to address discrepancies, including stopping production if needed.
  • Control the handling and disposition of non-conforming products until resolved.
  • Represent customer quality expectations internally in accordance with AS9100.
  • Analyze daily quality issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve process deviations.
  • Communicate relevant quality issues across involved areas.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor based on company needs.

 

Experience:

  • High School or technical career completed.
  • 6 Months in manufacturing environment in industrial companies or any other similar.
  • Knowledge and use of SolidWorks.
  • CMM PC-DMIS Programing.
  • Fully understand datum scheme requirements and applications along with GD&T.
  • Experience in industrial drawings interpretation.
  • Knowledge and use of measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Additional knowledge in SPC.
  • Interpretation of quality criteria.
  • Standards procedures of process audits.
