Job Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Human Resources (m/f/d) for our AMETEK CTS business unit, located at our headquarters in Reinach BL, Switzerland. This role will combine HR leadership with hands-on operational responsibilities, driving HR initiatives and solutions that align with business needs and goals. The Director will oversee talent management, recruitment, employee development, and compliance, ensuring a high-performance culture and effective HR operations across the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to bring added value to the business, understand the business needs and link them to tailored HR solutions for the business unit
- Lead a global team of HR professionals across multiple locations, ensuring cohesive and effective HR operations
- Assist management in identifying resource needs to meet short and long term goals
- Support management in the identification, growth and retention of key talent
- Ensure that succession plans are in place for all key positions
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for senior roles – establish strong in-house recruitment practices
- Support Managers in the identification and assessment of development needs. Deliver training and other development programs to meet those needs
- Build high performance culture – maintain the AMETEK performance management processes to motivate & engage employees
- Maintain and periodically review compensation & benefits practices to ensure employee motivation and retention, as well as market relevance
- Manage and maintain positive Works Council relationships and with external parties, statutory bodies and labor inspectors
- Assist Management team and senior Managers with conflict resolution and employee grievance and disciplinary matters
- Ensure compliance with employment policies and local laws
- Promote and ensure the adoption of standardized HR processes and policies across the CTS organization
- Oversee HR administration, payroll & reporting activities across the entire business unit so that they are delivered cost effectively, accurately & on time. Suggest ways to increase efficiency, through automation, self-service, or outsourcing
- Support AMETEK HR initiatives, and the standardization of HR practices across the business unit globally
- Produce annual HR plans, goals & objectives and report on HR activity on a periodic basis
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in HR
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, or similar field
- Working knowledge of Swiss (and German) employment law and international HR experience
- Fluent in English (and German is plus)
- Ability to travel up to 20% to the US, Serbia, and Germany
Desired Qualifications:
- Further education in Social Sciences / HR (federal diploma or Masters in HR)
- Strong technical skills with a data-driven mindset
- Experience with a large corporation - US organization preferred
