Job Title: Compliance Engineer

The company has a solid reputation in the aerospace industry for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators and airframe manufacturers. Conducting business from three sites in the United Kingdom, AEM offers specialist services for in excess of 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.
The Compliance Engineer’s role is a multi-function role to:
- Support the compliance monitoring system and the Health, Safety and Environmental Management process and procedures
- Internal analysis calibration ensuring all equipment is maintained to a high standard,
- Support the management of the analysis and calibration schedule.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the Stamp Authorisation control system for Ramsgate, establishing and controlling the competence of personnel involved in maintenance.
- Support with Risk Management for all activities for both the Safety Management System (SMS) and the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System: Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing measures to mitigate those risks.
- Supporting the Auditing Manager with the management of audit programme, in accordance with regulation requirements.
- Support with conducting internal audits including reporting and follow-up.
- Support the Safety Manager with product and system failure investigations.
- Support with the Internal Occurrence Reporting process: reporting safety occurrences internally, identifying trends and preventing future incidents
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Team player – capable of working with others, whilst delivering objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, conveying accurate and concise information at all levels.
- Innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, MS Project)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Background in aircraft or component maintenance. This includes a working knowledge of Part 145 regulations and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience
- Be proficient in establishing and controlling the competence of personnel involved in maintenance, airworthiness review management, and quality audits.
- Competent and trained in auditing techniques and the specific requirements.
- Excellent analytical, fault finding and problem-solving skills.
