Job Purpose:

The Inside Sales Engineer lead is responsible from enquiry to order acceptance, technical and after sales support. Working with multiple departments to provide an outstanding customer experience and satisfy the business operational needs by ensuring that service levels are consistently met in a productive and financially responsible manner. Drives new revenue and profitability to agreed targets from both pre-sales and after sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Manage pipeline and quoting process from enquiry to order acceptance through our CRM system for smaller value orders and spare parts.
  • Support the Regional Sales Team in developing relationships with Channel Partners across the Americas region.
  • Support Aftermarket Services Manager with upselling of AMECare service contracts and field service follow up.
  • Manage all demo stock and the overall process for the Americas region.
  • Act as the CRM ‘super user’ and offer technical support to the teams as needed.
  • Act as the day-to-day support for all Americas Channels.
  • Work alongside Regional Sales Team to identify channel partner and RSM training needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process for handling customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide technical and general office assistance to AMETEK LAND business unit as/when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A relevant qualification in a technical discipline is preferred. While not mandatory, a degree in engineering, business, or a related field is advantageous.
  • 3+ years experience in Customer Service / Technical Sales environment.
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Communication, influencing and assertiveness.
  • High level of work ethics and customer satisfaction. Must be passionate about meeting customer requirements.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building.
  • Understanding of sales and operations.
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel. SAP/CRM knowledge. 
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement, with a proactive mindset toward identifying inefficiencies and contributing to process improvements
  • Comfortable leveraging ERP systems and digital platforms to streamline daily tasks and improve operational performance
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and a willingness to learn and apply digital solutions

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $60,000
Salary Maximum:  $85,000
