POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Engineering Services position at Process Instruments is a critical leadership role within the Engineering department responsible for guiding a cross-functional team in strategic production support, New Product Introduction, VA/VE (cost/value optimization), and OPEX initiatives across all manufacturing sites and product lines that serve many applications for customers of various industries, including green energy, semiconductor, and sulfur recovery. This role requires a leader who is adaptable, creative, and goal-oriented with a vision to deliver reimagined product designs and manufacturing infrastructure that result in tangible efficiency, quality, and financial gains for the business. The Engineering group at Process Instruments is team-oriented, genuine, and responsible, creating a culture for team members who are hands-on and results-driven to impact the business in a positive way.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  •  3-8 years of relevant experience
  •  Experience leading engineering and process improvement projects in a manufacturing environment involving electro-mechanical products
  •  Experience managing direct reports with a demonstrated history of leadership, employee growth and development, and ownership of team performance
  •  Working knowledge of project management and process improvement principles, including work breakdown structures, risk identification and mitigation, resource allocation, and budget and cost management
  •  Working knowledge of design for manufacturing principles, including previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Manage a multi-disciplined engineering team, conducting performance reviews, driving employee development and engagement, and performing all other management activities as required
  •  Support Operations and Manufacturing Engineering by providing strategic production support on issues that require specialized engineering skills, extended project timelines,supply chain development, or evaluation of measurement technology
  •  In collaboration with the New Product Development team, ensure successful New Product Introduction in alignment with the business’ New Product Development Process
  •  Participate in the origination and execution of VA/VE projects by coordinating with other departments to create a pipeline of potential projects, measuring project scope and impact, and prioritizing work based on resource availability
  •  Maintain corporate VA/VE and OPEX forms, updating project pipelines, schedules, and results monthly or as the business requires
  •  Ensure all projects result in the delivery of complete documentation packages, including but not limited to detail drawings, assembly drawings, specifications, work instructions,testing procedures, and   maintenance instructions
  •  Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
