As Division Vice President, Human Resources for AMETEK's Process & Analytical Instruments (P&AI) Division, you will serve as a strategic, action-oriented partner to the Division Vice President and General Manager and the division leadership team. You will lead the development and delivery of HR programs that improve business performance, accelerate strategy implementation, strengthen talent and organizational capability, and support a global, multi-site organization.
Responsibilities:
The Division Vice President, Human Resources will:
- Serve as a value-adding senior advisor, coach, and trusted resource to the Division Vice President and General Manager and the division leadership team.
- Provide leadership and direction to division management and business unit HR leaders to resolve HR issues, manage organizational change, and drive business success.
- Develop and implement a divisional HR plan that supports the strategic and annual operating plans of the businesses and delivers measurable results.
- Drive programs that support talent recruitment, development, succession, and career path management, and establish sustainable practices across the business units.
- Monitor the employment marketplace and lead actions that help the division remain agile, competitive, and relevant to employees.
- Lead HR due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions within the division.
- Provide oversight and direction to HR and business leaders on employee relations, engagement, development, and retention initiatives.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, including organizational structure, work processes, teamwork, and leadership capability.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR to deploy AMETEK HR strategies, processes, and policies consistently across the division, manage risk, and strengthen the AMETEK culture.
- Provide direct oversight and leadership to regional HR leaders.
- Travel regularly, approximately 30%, to domestic and international locations to maintain a pulse on employee engagement and collaborate with the HR community.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
Division Vice President, Human Resources Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive and diverse Human Resources leadership experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and manage talent to position the business for growth and excellence.
- Ability to influence senior executives, establish and maintain effective partnerships, and provide thought leadership.
- Strong collaboration skills, sound judgment, unquestioned integrity, and the ability to operate at the pace of the business.
- Experience managing international employees and labor relations in a union environment is preferred.
