Job Title:  Shipping & Receiving Clerk

AMETEK Controls Southeast Inc. is a leading provider of thermal process solutions to plants around the world

We are looking for a knowledgeable Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will be responsible for managing daily shipping and receiving activity by preparing shipments, verifying shipping records, creating BOLs and labels, coordinating pickups, supporting incoming/outgoing trucks, and helping maintain shipping supplies and inventory accuracy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:​

• Coordinate daily shipments by reviewing packing lists, monitoring credit holds, and ensuring orders are completed by required ship dates.
• Prepare, package, and ship materials, including creating bills of lading (BOLs), labels, and required shipping documentation.
• Obtain freight quotes, schedule carrier pickups, and confirm/post shipments.
• Maintain shipment tracking reports and provide shipping estimates, weights, dimensions, and crate specifications for upcoming orders.
• Coordinate domestic and international transportation requirements, including truck and container needs.
• Pre-package shipments for inspection and provide shipment measurements for customer and logistics requirements.
• Monitor and replenish shipping supplies while maintaining shipping and inventory records.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load, unload, and move materials, trucks, and containers safely.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate freight discounts, and support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts, year-end inventory, receiving activities, and rush deliveries to local shipping hubs.
• Support cross-functional operations by assisting other departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements: 

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 Years experience with domestic and international shipping
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word and Data Entry 

• Attention to detail, dependability, organization, communication, safety awareness, ability to follow process, teamwork.
