Job Description: 

Position Summary:

 

As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will work with the Site Controller to ensure the integrity of financial records by assisting in preparation of accurate financial statements, the month end close process and managing internal controls

 

Essential Duties:

 

  • Assist Site Controller in overseeing the month end closing process
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Perform financial accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis and review of financial statements
  • Inventory costing management, including WIP analysis, standard cost rolls, review of variances, and input of manual inventory adjustments
  • Perform manufacturing and purchasing variance identification and analysis focusing on Purchase Price Variance and Material/Labor/Burden Variances.
  • Reconcile local ERP system to financial reporting software
  • Fixed Asset management
  • Co-manage cycle counts and annual physical inventory process with Operations
  • Lead quarterly SOX testing
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare tax filings
  • Month end reporting tasks
  • Forecasting and budgeting assistance to the Site Controller and the Site Manager
  • Provide backup for other members of the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

What We Look For:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Five - Seven years relevant accounting experience

 

Skills/Requirements:

 

  • Hyperion Enterprise and Oracle experience a plus
  • Understanding of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing environment and associated financial processes.
  • Possesses strong leadership, supervisory and management abilities.
  • Has excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
  • Exhibits strong computer skills and demonstrates extensive knowledge of financial software programs.
  • This role interacts with all levels of management throughout the company.  On a regular basis will be coordinating information between Sites, Business Units and executives which requires excellent communication skills.

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $110,000
Salary Maximum:  $140,000
