Job Title: Project Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Project Technician who will be responsible for assisting Project Engineering department in administrative tasks including, but not limited to, submittals, documentation, and job order package creation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document control functions such as document submittals, document receipt, and Final Manufacturing Record Book creation as applicable.
- Maintain documentation log for all incoming and outgoing transmittals.
- Store, manage, and track all client documents including specifications and drawings.
- Prepare documentation for third party inspectors.
- Supports all Project Engineers and Project Managers on all aspects of a project.
- Sales order entry for all engineered orders.
- Maintaining of all design, production, and shipment dates in the ERP.
- Job order package creation including Bill of Material take-off and man-hour verification.
- Scanning and filing of all returned job order packages from production.
- Final close out of projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years customer service experience
- Adobe Acrobat experience
- MS Office with Intermediate Excel knowledge
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to create well-written, grammatically correct documents
- Effective communications skills to ensure good dialogue internally and with clients
- Good follow up and customer service skills
- Ability to work on several projects at the same time. (Multi-task)
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to complete calculations such as area, circumference, and unit conversions.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Must be able to prioritize workload in order to respond to a large number of customers quickly and effectively.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office with Excel knowledge
- Microsoft Outlook
- Adobe Reader and Writer
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to properly prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to adapt to different personality styles
