Job Description: 

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for miscellaneous duties that support manufacturing operations, ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards. This is a multi-discipline general support function, working in multiple departments in the support of additive and subtractive manufacturing. This position must be self-driven, with a high degree of aptitude for fostering a “Safety-First” mindset and practice. The position will be performing various roles throughout the day, shifting to where the support and activities are needed. The individual must thrive in a learning environment, with a high degree of change. This position requires a high degree of diligence and impeccable sustained quality compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must foster and practice a “Safety-First” mindset. 
  • Perform Receiving and Inventory process functions.
  • Operate titanium blast and glass bead equipment.
  • Operate various de-powdering machine equipment.
  • Operate ultrasonic cleaning and associated passivation, as required.
  • Prepare plates for secondary Hiping process, utilizing foil wrap per process instructions.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on all associated equipment, as required.
  • Finish/polish/buff product to specifications as part of process flow.
  • Operate saw cut and dovetail machines.
  • Inspect product to blueprint specifications, utilizing required inspection equipment.

 

OCCASIONAL DUTIES: 

  • Assist in shipping and final documentation closure.
  • Assist in changeover of additive manufacturing machines. 
  • Assist in operation of laser equipment, as required.  
  • Assist in the assembly of product, as required. 
  • May operate CMM and other various inspection equipment.

 

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:          

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in multiple manufacturing support roles is highly preferred.

 

SKILLS:    

  • “Safety-First” mindset.  This individual must approach safety with a high level of maturity and commitment to follow all safety procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Basic knowledge of calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Must value the importance of a team and the impact it has on the success of the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Strong multitasker with the ability to perform diversified tasks and shift focus, as needed.
  • Early morning, late evening and weekend work may be required.  
  • Ability to follow directions, learn new processes, and written documentation skills such as inspection reports, setup sheets, etc.

  • Work environment: Work performed in a production environment.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (for Maintenance & Receiving only).  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, in some areas. Handling metal powders may require proper personal protective equipment including respirators and glove. Employee will work with various production equipment requiring compliance to established safety protocols and process work instructions, utilizing various material powders, such as titanium, stainless and cobalt, etc.
