Job Title: CNC Machinist I - 2nd Shift

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible to assist in set-up of simple jobs and operation of CNC equipment, tooling maintenance, and ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Assist in set-ups of simple (uncomplicated and straightforward) jobs and operate conventional, special-purpose, and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts and fits and assemble machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques. Able to run multiple machines at one time.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 0-2 years previous machining preferred.
