Job Description: 

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of universal motors, brushless blowers, hybrid steppers and sustaining of legacies. You will also be coordinating closely with electrical design engineers, laboratory engineers and sampling technicians to jointly create motors from concept to pilot run. You will respond to the Project Manager of universal motors.

 

What you will do:

  • Design and development of new products by 3D CAD based on product specs (design, reliability and cost requirements)
  • Customization of existing products based on specific Customers requirements
  • Sustaining of legacy products (i.e. implementation of design change for cost reduction, manufacturing process optimization, etc)
  • Close interaction with engineering resources located in Serbia and Czech Rep plants
  • Support closely and actively Lab test
  • Support closely and actively samples construction
  • Contribute to VAVE activities by design change / optimization
  • Manage part lists and bill of materials by Windchill and SAP
  • Support manufacturing for Manufacturing Check Samples construction and Pilot Run production

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development of electrical motors
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost optimisation techniques
  • Ability to design with 3D CAD Design, based on specifications for performance, reliability and cost
  • Experience in implementing design changes for cost reduction and process optimisation
  • Competence in managing part lists and BOMs using Windchill and SAP
  • Ability to work closely with design engineers, laboratory technicians, electrical / electronic engineers
  • Clear and professional interaction with cross-functional teams and plants
  • Strong analytical skills for design optimisation and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple projects
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian Languages
