Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Italy)

Key Responsibilities
Due to continued growth within the global service team, we have an exciting vacancy for a Field Service Engineer in North Italy.
After completing a comprehensive training program, the role will include:
• Work on a stand-alone basis, maintain team spirit and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Having full responsibility, within a territory, to deliver world class service to our customers
• Install, maintain, and use expert troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of roundness and surface finish measuring instruments
• Provide remote call pre-qualification and attempt remote fix wherever possible
• Be the focal point for customer issues and technical enquiries
• Document and report technical issues where necessary
• Provide training as required to customers and local distributors
• Look for opportunities and report wherever possible
Essential & Desirable Skills
• Have a good grounding in mechanical/electronic or Multi-Disciplined Engineering
• Ability to read, interpret and analyse schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ideally, previous experience of working in a technical customer facing role however, recent graduates are welcome to apply
• Interact with and provide feedback to internal stakeholders including technical support teams, manufacturing, and R&D
• Build trust relationships with our customers
• Have good computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Hold a valid & clean driving license
• Can work alone while representing Taylor Hobson at customer sites
• Be prepared to work flexible hours when required
• Be prepared to assist colleagues in other regions of the world when required
Skills & Experience
• High energy level with ability to take initiative.
• Experience within a matrix management environment
• Teamwork oriented with collaborative style, pragmatic, multitasking, flexible.
• Computer fluent, with specific attention to e-mail and Microsoft Office product skills; CRM and Service tools.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively.
• Follow set procedures but can identify when change is required
Requirements
• Mechanical/ electrical or electronic Service expert
• Proven experience in high demand B2B customer service.
• Based in the following regions: Lombardia, Piemonte or Emilia Romagna
• English: good communication skills, Written and spoken.
• Strong customer service attitude with a critical mindset
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated and a team player
