We are now looking for a detail-oriented and driven Controller that will provide operational excellence and play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, coordination and direction for Finance and Controlling activities at MAE level to meet the B.U.’s and Division’s objectives.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Planning and Budgeting

  • Assist Finance Director with budgeting, planning, and monitoring cost reductions.
  • Analyze variances and suggests corrective actions to production and overhead departments.
  • Prepare plant rates and establish standard costs for accuracy in cost estimation, inventory evaluation, and production performance.

Control & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX, including self-testing and documentation posting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, control, and compliance.
  • Support audit management.

Financial Reporting:

  • Coordinate monthly and year-end closings (US GAAP), investigate discrepancies, and provide timely reports.
  • Prepare internal and external financial packages for management.

Capex Management:

  • Review capital appropriation requests for new equipment and tooling
  • Monitor spending to ensure alignment with appropriations and trigger supplemental requests when necessary.

Degree & Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5-6 years of experience in a financial/controlling position within a manufacturing environment

Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of financial, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including US GAAP and SOX 404 requirements.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and projections.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP – advanced skills in FI-CO modules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Fluent in English and Italian
