Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning, execution, and documentation of application engineering projects and milling trials
• Support of application‑oriented project work as part of the further development of our machines and machining technologies
• Delivery of product trainings, instructions, and presentations both on‑site and remotely
• Knowledge sharing and support of junior application engineers
• Technical support and consulting for our customers in the application of our products – on‑site and worldwide

Profile:

• Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Industrial Mechanic), ideally with further qualification as a Technician
• Ideally several years of professional experience in 5‑axis milling and very good CNC knowledge (Heidenhain control)
• Experience and efficient working style with a CAD/CAM program (HyperMill by Open Mind)
• Strong interest in analyzing and further developing machining strategies and technologies, combined with high curiosity and willingness to experiment
• Confident delivery of live machining demonstrations
• Strong communication skills in personal conversations and on the phone, in both German and English
