Job Title:  Sourcing Engineer

Desired candidate is a self-starter with strong work ethic who demonstrates solid Engineering background along with balanced commercial sourcing expertise. Candidate must be team oriented, multi-task capable, and be able to work in our fast-paced environment. 

What will you do:

1. Responsible for all aspects of supply base development in South East Asia.
2. To serve as direct liaison for all AMETEK divisions to suppliers based in South East Asia.
3. To work with existing AMETEK Quality System guidelines to identify and qualify appropriate low volume, high mix suppliers with emphasis on serving Aerospace, Medical and Oil & Gas market needs.
4. Provide other Engineering, quality and sourcing services for the region including tracking implementation of all new projects from quotation through to production implementation and resolution of production issues.
5. Continuous involvement in the Supplier selection process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology.
6. Monitor supplier performance, communicates and takes action to maintain high levels of supplier performance.

We are looking for:

1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electronic/Electrical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years of related working experience
3. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in spoken English, and the ability to read and write complex technical documents in written English
4. Self-motivated, able to work independently and have own initiative
5. Strong knowledge in one or more on Precision Engineering Manufacturing, Mechanical Components Manufacturing and/or EMS Manufacturing is preferred
