Job Title: Quality Manager

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to lead the site's quality organization and driving a culture of zero-defect manufacturing across all operations. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, ISO 9001 and AMETEK quality expectations while supporting the manufacture of precision motion control products including linear actuators, lead screw assemblies, stepper motors, and rotary motor products. This person needs to have great attention to detail and will follow the incoming material through to the final product while inspecting, assessing, and optimizing along the way. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally department to drive continuous improvement, sustainable growth and operational excellence while meeting customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the overall Quality organization, including Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors teams across the facility
- Lead cross-functional team for quality improvement.
- Develop and execute the site quality strategy aligned with plant and corporate objectives.
- Promote a strong culture of quality ownership throughout the organization.
- Establish performance goals and accountability across the quality team.
- Plan, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (eg: plan quality system, lead procedure set up)
- Lead management reviews to ensure right process & procedure are in place.
- Coordinate and support internal, customer, and regulatory audit
- Lead FAI & PPAP completion per customer requests and internal compliance
- Lead sample qualification for parts made in house, and lead measuring instrument management.
- Lead Material Review Board for nonconformance parts in inventory.
- Supporting the Design and manufacturing phase of the Product Development process (TG4 Phase).
- Lead the operation team for the continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics (e.g., scrap rates, customer returns, on-time delivery, quality cost analysis, defect part per million)
- Handle quality issues on the production line and customer issues
- Addressing Customer complaints, analyze field failures and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Provide statistical analysis and support for quality and production objectives (eg: data collection, quality risk identification, etc)
- Lead the RMA process by ensure timely disposition of non-conforming materials and closure of RMAs.
- Conduct employee training on quality awareness and best practices.
- Lead the IQ OQ PQ qualification process for the equipment buy-off
- Manage departmental workload and team development.
- Other adhoc assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of direct quality experience in a manufacturing environment with 4+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in auditing quality system, strong knowledge of ISO9001 and SixSigma.
- Proficient in statistical tools (e.g., MiniTab), SPC, and ERP/MRP systems. • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint. Advantage if have Power BI skill.
- Strong teamwork spirit and strong interpersonal skills with ability to work through all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated success with Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with understanding of the GD & T knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with inspection tools (e.g caliper, micrometers, microscope)
- Can work in a dynamic & fast-growing environment.
- Able to perform multitask skill task. This is key.
- Motor manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Have the good presentation skill and good multi-customer interaction skill.
- Fluent English both spoken and written.
