Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for performing quality inspection activities within the department including incoming and outgoing inspections in accordance with established Inspection Plan, drawings and specifications.
- This includes carrying out visual inspections using microscopes to detect surface defects, damage, contamination or workmanship issues. It also includes performing dimensional and functional measurements using basic measuring tools and equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, CMMs, etc.
- Record inspection results accurately in Inspection Plan.
- Identify, segregate and clearly label non-conforming materials and report inspection findings to QA Leader, Process Engineers or relevant departments.
- Prepare Certificates of Conformance (COC) for shipments in accordance with customer and quality requirements.
- Compile and verify all required shipment documents including Inspection Plan, raw material certificates and plating reports from external platers to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to shipment.
- Maintain proper handling, storage and housekeeping of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of document revisions and changes.
- Assist Process Engineer during product or process qualification activities as required for instance First Article Report (FAIR)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum qualification: SPM or equivalent.
- Able to understand basic Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Possess basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Able to follow instructions and undertake new assignments from the QA Leader or Process Engineer.
- Capable of performing visual inspections using a microscope to identify defects or workmanship issues.
- Able to use basic measurement tools and inspection equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience or knowledge in using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is considered an added advantage.
