Job Description: 

Accountant is responsible for day-to-day finance activities, month end closing, Sox auditing, Year-end closing and auditing. Ensure compliance to all the accounting standard, corporate policies and Malaysia Law and Statuary requirement. Assist in finance related projects, finance systems implementation. Report directly to Finance Manager in Malaysia. 

 

What you will do:

  1. Responsible for full set of accounts and monthly closing. 
  2. Responsible for all finance related reporting such AR, AP, Cash, Inventory, labor, material and cost reporting etc.
  3. SOX audit - compliance to quarterly Sox procedure and preparing the necessary documents for SOX audit.  
  4. Intercompany – ensure intercompany is reconciled during month end and prepare the necessary report during year end audit.
  5. Petty Cash – Handling petty cash payment, reimbursement and reconciliation. 
  6. Responsible for GST/other tax related reporting. 
  7. Work together with India Share Service for day-to-day finance tasks and month end reporting. 
  8. Reponsible for Internal audit – providing necessary documentation and liaising with internal auditors.  
  9. Reponsible for external audit – providing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.  
  10. Yearly – Work with external auditor on reports, account reconciliation, vendor/ customer confirmation, intercompany confirmation, bank confirmation, etc. Preparing of Tax schedule for Tax consultant. 
  11. Assist Finance Manager with budgeting/forecasting/any other required finance reporting. 
  12. Assist Finance Manager in finance projects such as system upgrades/new system implementation. 
  13. Assist the Finance Manager during his/her absence. 
  14. Responsible for any other assignments as required by the Company. 

 

We are looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or related discipline.
  2. Above 5 years experiences in finance and familiar with MNC culture and working environment. 
  3. Big 4 and manufacturing experience is preferred.
  4. Experience working with shared service is preferred. 
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Good team player, ability to multi-task and prioritize different requests.
  7. Proficiency with ERP software (Navision/SAP) as well as office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
