Position Description

As a Production Lead at TMC Vibration Control, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day production activities while guiding a team to meet operational goals. This role integrates leadership with active participation on the production floor, ensuring that processes are running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in assembling products, improving workflows, and developing team capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of production workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to achieve and exceed production targets.
  • Actively contribute to production efforts, working alongside team members to ensure product assembly and processes meet standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee production activities, maintaining a strong presence on the floor to address real-time challenges.
  • Develop the team through on-the-job training and guidance, focusing on improving skills and productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of production equipment, addressing issues to minimize delays.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring that products meet company standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by implementing safety measures and addressing potential hazards promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, safety regulations).
  • Lead problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis to address recurring production issues and implement lasting solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering, to optimize production processes.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements, focusing on enhancing workflow and reducing waste.
  • Track progress and performance, providing insights and reports to leadership on efficiency, output, and areas of improvement.
  • Plan and adjust work schedules as needed to meet production targets while maintaining high levels of output.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A strong background in production, with 3-5 years of experience, including leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly and working directly with production teams. Experience working with epoxy bonding, grinders, and drill presses preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with experience in driving team performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as required by the job.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, production management software, and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
