Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of production workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Coordinate daily production activities to achieve and exceed production targets.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure all equipment is in top condition and minimize downtime.
- Uphold quality standards through regular inspections and swift issue resolution.
- Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements.
- Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Logistics to streamline operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management, providing regular updates and reports.
- Help manufacturing staff achieve company goals by setting expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
- Identify cost-saving strategies and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Support Manufacturing and Quality Engineering in documenting and implementing process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with proven supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, production management software, and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
