We are seeking a Director, Information Technology, to join our team. 

 

As the Director of Information Technology for OPS, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and tactical direction of all IT system and infrastructure activities of our global business operations.

 

This individual will partner with business leaders to anticipate and recommend opportunities where information technology can advance business capabilities and provide a competitive advantage. The IT Leader will influence, and hold accountable, IT staff and business leaders to comply with Corporate directed initiatives. This position reports to the DVP, Controller at OPS with a functional reporting line to the IT division leader.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Influence, and hold accountable, IT staff and BU leaders to comply with Corporate directed initiatives (cyber security, governance/controls)
  • Integrate any business unit acquisitions
  • Drive change and transformation
  • Partner with the business management team to develop IT roadmap including identifying the appropriate use of IT to improve the capabilities and performance of the unit.
  • Manage all aspects of business systems and information technology.
  • Develop and maintain a high performing Business Systems and Information Technology Team.
  • Ensure policy compliance (cyber security, governance/controls), lead the deployment of AMETEK Cyber Security initiatives, and ensure the business is adhering to all corporate information security standards and policies.
  • Align IT resources to automate manual processes through digital transformation; provide access to data to track measurable results
  • Manage the technical aspects of digital projects, including ERP implementations, meeting deadlines and budgets

 

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of proven, progressive IT leadership in an engineering-centric, product development, and delivery organization. This includes a successful IT business leader who understands and leads technology’s application for driving real business value. This experience should also include a proven track record of exceptional IT build, deliver, and support experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, or related field
  • Previous IT leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment (made to order)
  • Experience in a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated project management of full life cycle ERP, CRM implementations
  • Previous oversight of a multi-site organization
  • Proven hands-on management style in a lean environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and hold others accountable
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Strong business and financial acumen. Experience working for a publicly traded company preferred.
  • Understanding of, and skilled in developing executable strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated skill and success in managing a team including budgeting, hiring, developing, and positioning resources in support of the function.
  • Proactive communicator with well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience evaluating, conducting due diligence on, and integrating acquisitions is highly desirable. Experience in a Six Sigma / LEAN Manufacturing environment where these tools were applied to the “office” environment is preferred.
  • Ability to predict, recognize and manage cultural and technological changes within the organization and the corresponding transitions required. It is essential the applicant understand technology direction and trends and their strategic business impact (AI).
  • Able to develop collaborative, productive working relationships, at all levels within the business and with key stakeholders.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $150,000
Salary Maximum:  $180,000
Incentive:  Yes
