Position Description

As a Facilities and Maintenance Technician at TMC Vibration Control, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our advanced manufacturing facility. Working within an environment that includes high-precision fabrication equipment, your responsibilities will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires technical expertise in both building systems and production machinery, ensuring the safety and productivity of the entire facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of complex mechanical and fabrication equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in production processes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, particularly those integral to high-precision manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility systems to proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions before production is impacted.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure all manufacturing equipment is functioning at optimal levels, providing support during setups and process adjustments.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of building systems such as ventilation, heating, and cooling, as well as specialized systems related to production equipment.
  • Address maintenance needs related to fabrication processes, including supporting the operation of advanced machining tools, welding systems, and heavy equipment handling.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, working under pressure to restore functionality and maintain production flow.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to fabrication and assembly schedules.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols, including managing high-risk environments, such as areas with heavy machinery and overhead equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending and implementing upgrades or modifications to facility systems and equipment to enhance productivity.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related fields preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with familiarity in maintaining production machinery and fabrication tools.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems in high-precision manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals specific to advanced manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as required by the job.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards in a manufacturing setting, particularly in environments with heavy equipment and high-temperature processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on reducing downtime and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
