Job Title: Director, Supply Chain and Global Procurement

We’re seeking a senior Procurement / Supply Chain leader to drive service, cost, inventory, and supplier performance across a multi-site, high-mix manufacturing division. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to strengthen supply continuity, accelerate throughput, and deliver sustainable productivity and cash-flow improvements.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead division-wide strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives to achieve service, cost, inventory, and working-capital goals.
- Drive supplier performance improvements (quality, delivery, responsiveness) using scorecards, assessments, and corrective action plans; build grow/maintain/exit strategies for critical suppliers.
- Lead commodity strategy and supplier consolidation across key categories (e.g., machining, castings/forgings, fabrication/sheet metal, electronics, PCB/PCBA, bearings, outside services), including low-cost region sourcing.
- Own key supplier negotiations and execute long-term agreements with appropriate commercial terms and flow-down requirements.
- Implement scalable supply chain processes and tools (e.g., S&OP/MRP discipline, consignment/SMI, Kanban) to improve availability and working capital.
- Partner with Operations/CI teams to embed Lean / Six Sigma practices that improve turnaround time, throughput, and labor productivity.
- Lead or sponsor VA/VE cost-out initiatives and cross-functional projects supporting business unit commitments.
- Influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed, multi-site environment; provide leadership and development to supply chain teams (direct and/or dotted-line, as applicable).
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or supply chain within a manufacturing environment; multi-site/divisional experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in managing global supplier relationships required
- Demonstrated track record delivering cost reduction, supplier performance improvement, and inventory/working-capital optimization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing supply base and commodity sourcing; supplier consolidation and low-cost region sourcing experience highly valued.
- Lean/TPS/Kaizen and/or Six Sigma experience (certification a plus).
- ERP experience required (Oracle or similar).
- Comfort operating in a results-driven, highly matrixed organization; strong negotiation, analytics, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (role requires frequent travel).
