Job Description: 

As a key member of the Ophthalmic and Precision Solutions (OPS) leadership team, the Director of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving forward the company’s people strategy and Human Resources execution.  This role requires a dynamic leader who can think strategically, lead globally, and roll up their sleeves to drive and support day-to-day operations.  The ideal candidate is a proactive business partner with a passion for talent development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement; ensuring HR practices not only support business objectives but also reflects the unique culture at each of OPS’ locations.

 

This position operates in a matrixed organization, requiring strong collaboration and influence; reporting to the Business Unit Leader and functionally to the Division Vice President of HR.

 

Responsibilities section:

  • Manage the overall Human Resources execution and strategy for the OPS business unit which includes the Reichert, TMC, and Precitech business segments.
  • Work closely with leaders to provide expertise and hands-on support in multiple areas including talent management and acquisition, workforce planning, employee retention, employee relations, management coaching, performance management and change management.
  • Partner with the Division VP of Human Resources to drive initiatives and development strategies, attracting and retaining high potential talent across all functions and levels of the business.
  • Advise and coach managers on HR policies and programs including AMETEK standard processes and tools in addition to developing innovative and modern strategies to progress the organization forward in talent strategy and employee experience.
  • Facilitate annual people processes including compensation planning, performance management, and talent review.
  • Collaborate with and coach the management team to drive improvement, implement cultural change, organization and talent development, workforce planning and a rewarding employee experience.
  • Champion appropriate change management and continuous improvement opportunities within the business with a particular focus on creating standard HR framework across the various segments of OPS.
  • Provide coaching and development to the OPS HR team and drive succession planning potential within the team.

 

Requirements section:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, including 3 years in team management
  • Relevant experience in a growing, global manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to engage and manage high-performing teams
  • Recognized for strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate in matrix environments
  • Proven experience as a results driven HR leader who has successfully implemented process improvements and new programs and processes
  • Ability to manage and initiate change
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics to make decisions.
  • Understand and set clear goals, responsibilities; hold self and others accountable for success

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $180,000
Salary Maximum:  $195,000
Incentive:  Yes
