We are looking for a passionate and driven Shipping Coordinator to join our team. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activitites of the Shipping area.  If you are a Shipping Coordinator, we would love to hear from you! 

 

Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all shipping transactions and duties are carried out to meet the daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Prepare and physically package all goods for shipment.
  • Follow up on any shipments not delivered on-time, lost, or damaged; prepare root cause analyses and corrective actions where applicable.
  • Prepare all documents and routes all orders for consolidated shipments to affiliate locations as schedules, and customers dictate. 
  • Executes Drop Shipments from offsite locations. 
  • Coordinates carrier pick-ups with the appropriate carriers. 
  • Ensure shipments meet the AMETEK requirements for revenue recognition, and report, and work to remove any delays with deliveries.
  • Lead the resolution of shipping and receiving issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain certifications and training requirements for international and hazardous materials shipments for self.
  • File claims as needed with outbound carriers for re-imbursement for lost shipments.
  • Identifies and makes recommendations for improvements to processes; leads or assists in leading these initiatives
  • Provide support for other duties as needed to support the overall business needs.

 

Shipping Coordinator Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Shipping Coordinator Certifications:

  • Tennessee driver’s license and forklift operator certificate
  • Chamber of Commerce Certified Certificates of Origin
  • DOT, 49CFR and IMDG Dangerous Goods compliance
  • International Air Transport Dangerous Goods compliance
  • International Air Transport Radioactive Material compliance
  • Export documentation 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $50,000
Incentive:  No
