Job Description:
Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the corresponding transactions for the receipt of productive material and equipment.
- Segregate material that does not meet the established receipt requirements.
- Manage receiving and shipping documentation: File packing slips or invoices of received materials in an orderly and controlled manner.
- Label incoming materials: Identify the material with a receipt label and a security label (if required).
- Constant communication with internal clients and monitoring of their needs.
- Assist in the supervision of activities focused on the management of productive material in the shipping and
- shipping area, make transfer of raw material and material count.
- Create the shipping plan and ensure its execution.
- Printing of shipping orders.
- Follow-up of packing instructions and shipments required by clients.
- Shipment Processing: Process each box in the system by assigning the appropriate carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), ensuring proper labeling and inclusion of all required shipping documentation.
Oversight:
Shipment Management:
- Oversee the shipping process of finished goods, ensuring compliance with customer-specific instructions regarding timing, quantities, and specifications.
Order Verification
- Verify that product quantities and specifications match purchase orders, recording shipments and ensuring accurate system entry.
Material Receiving:
- Coordinate the receipt of materials, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and storage according to established procedures.
Documentation Control:
- Maintain up-to-date records of shipments and receipts, ensuring traceability and availability of information for internal and external audits.
Education and Experience:
- College degree (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling. (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software (SAP / AS400).
