Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

The Shipping Coordinator will provide support on the transfer of products/parts and processes from US to Nuevo Laredo. This position is responsible for contacting Carriers/ Customer Service/Planners/Production to provide/coordinate or request them with shipping information. Is also responsible for entering information in the system and ensure picking the correct material for the correct PO in the system guaranteeing on time Deliver. Follow up 6s culture and actively Generates action items to improve Shipping procedures & flows.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and Validate FG received from Production lines in an organized manner.

Based on backlog orders, do the pickups and prepare shipping orders assuring FIFO and OTD.

When it applies, communicate with carriers to schedule pickups.

Access to the system and print picklist for the day.

Coordinate all orders scheduled to ship for the day leave the facility on time.

Pick orders from shelves, racks or production line, Box and Palletized orders & Print labels

Prepare sales reports and Keep record of shipment information.

Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements

Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders.

Communicate with Cust Srvc and shippers and resolve any complaints.

Support ME/QA/PE special requirements and send them to indicated location assuring track.

Participate in cycle count activities and annual physical inventory

Support Inventory Control to Perform periodic audits to keep the inventory accurate

Forklift/stairs/ calculator usage

Follow up Safety rules for Shipping areas related to Forklift, handling materials, EPP usage, razor usage, heavy materials, shrink wrap machine
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
- Some duties require walking, standing, bending, or climbing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (scale, calculators).
Education / Experience

A degree in logistics area or another similar field (Ideal)

English (Writing and Ideally Verbal)

Experience in shipping/logistic/warehouse (at least 1 year)

Fork-Lift experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

Oracle or ERP system experience preferred

Teamworking skills

Able to travel
