Job Description: 

AMETEK is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to strengthen our quality management systems, improve process performance, and ensure that our products and services consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. The Quality Engineer will work closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams to identify quality risks, investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, industrial technology, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Typically, 2 or more years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, process engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish. 
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, inspection methods, nonconformance management, corrective action, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, evaluate risks, and solve technical problems using structured methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, drawings, work instructions, test methods, or customer requirements relevant to the business.
  • Preferred candidates may have experience with Lean, Six Sigma, statistical process control, process capability analysis, gage repeatability and reproducibility, failure mode and effects analysis, control plans, first article inspection, supplier audits, or corrective and preventive action systems.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Follows issues through closure and verifies that corrective actions are effective.
