Production/Process Technician

 

Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process, operators, and production equipment by applying predictive, preventive, and corrective actions to optimize the efficiency and quality of electronic board production, ensuring consistent alignment with organizational standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that equipment and workstations are safe for operation.
  • Maintain 100% completion of corrective maintenance, calibration, and setup of equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Provide technical support to the operational area to achieve productivity and quality goals.
  • Possess or receive training in various industry standards within the electronics sector.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues with equipment to meet production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain equipment, procedures and programs for both current and new products.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical parts for assigned equipment.
  • Report any critical line issues promptly to the Engineer or Area Manager.
  • Develop and follow corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Adhere to and promote the 5S methodology.

Experience

  • Basic knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to generate or validate documentation, references, visual aids, and programs, ensuring they are accurate and available when needed.
  • Ability to develop programs, create fixtures, and troubleshoot processes.
  • Ability to interpret electronic drawings.
  • Experience working with electronic boards.
