Job Title:  Production Planner

Production Planner.

Plans and prepares Production schedules for manufacture of more sophisticated models of industrial or commercial products: Prepares timeline to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

Responsibilities.

• Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data of smaller departments and work centers to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.

• Plan and schedule workflow for Production Operations and departments according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

• Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects and special orders. The Planner 2 role will monitor the less involved project orders with lower profile and/or smaller dollar impact.

• Expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

• Prepare production reports and report out via written reports.

• Track non-conformance reports for timely resolution.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements. 

• BA/BS Degree Preferred- Business or Technical.

• APICS certification desirable.

• 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Materials management, including at least two years in Materials Management as a Planner / Master Scheduler.

• Spanish/English bilingual.
