Materialist / Stockroom Clerk

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Materialist / Stockroom Clerk to support our production operations through effective materials handling and MRO inventory management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials to the production line, maintaining accurate stock levels, and executing transactions in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP. Basic English reading skills are required to interpret documentation and system instructions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
  • Ensure timely material delivery to production lines based on work orders and production schedules.
  • Perform accurate ERP transactions (Oracle, SAP) for material movements, receipts, and issues.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies; validate packing and documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments and receipts of materials between the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and ensure FIFO practices are followed.
  • Support maintenance and production teams with MRO item availability.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Communicate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to resolve material issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in materials handling, warehouse, or production support.
  • Basic English reading comprehension (approx. 50%).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP preferred).
  • Knowledge of MRO inventory and production material flow.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
