Main activity

The manufacturing and test engineer optimizes manufacturing for maximum efficiency and quality. It is responsible for designing production lines, establishing quality controls, and implementing continuous improvements to reduce costs and ensure that products meet technical standards.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or electronic engineering or related field.

 

Experience

3+ years of experience in manufacturing or test engineering role.

 

Background

  • Knowledge of testing software such as LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, TestStand.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, ICT, FCT, and boundary scan tools.
  • Strong understanding of electronics, schematics, and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with SMT and PCBA manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Proven experience as a process engineer or in a similar position.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or IPC certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Line Design: Plan workflow, equipment layout, and plant space optimization.
  • Continuous improvement: Analyzes and evaluates existing processes to identify bottlenecks and reduce waste.
  • Documentation: Creates and updates procedure manuals, work instructions, and route sheets for operators
  • Standardization: Ensures that processes comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Testing: Runs tests on components and finished products to detect defects or technical failures. Investigate the root cause of bugs and collaborate with the development team to fix them. Documents test results and provide technical feedback to refine product design.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing test solutions aligned with production timelines.
  • Maintain and improve existing test equipment and software to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure traceability and documentation of test results for audits and quality control.
  • Train production staff in test procedures and troubleshoot test-related issues on the production floor.
