Job Description: 

The Junior Quality Engineer must possess a basic knowledge of quality elements such as Quality Tools & Core Tools, and basic understanding of electrical components, mechanical concepts, and Lean manufacturing. He/She will provide support on the transfer of products and processes from US to Nuevo Laredo occasionally. The Jr. Quality Engineer will follow and support the strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output by reducing waste and defects. Monitoring and improvement of metrics from the Quality department and the Business Unit. Duties include supporting the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance. Jr. Quality Engineer is also responsible for the creation and completion of documentation that reports issues and errors related to production, as well as apply with suppliers and customers to find a solution. This position will support the certification of ISO9001:2015, and other standards plant wide.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day quality inspection and testing results.
  • Support certification of ISO9001; QMS system implementation support (QT9)
  • Ensure products and process are meeting the customer or internal specification.
  • Develop and Support with inspection methods to analyze product quality
  • Improve product quality by making recommendations for change
  • Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards
  • Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems
  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out
  • Give Support to implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ Electronic/ Industrial/ Mechatronic Engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality department
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 Certification
  • English/Spanish proficiency (Writing and Verbal)
