Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the test technician team in the functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic circuit boards (PCBAs). This role focuses on executing electrical tests, identifying and resolving failures, and developing and improving repair procedures. Additional responsibilities include device programming, technical support to production and engineering, and coordinating activities to ensure quality and efficiency in testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide technical support to the test technician team.
- Perform and oversee functional and electrical testing of PCBAs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic failures using appropriate tools and methods.
- Program electronic devices using specialized equipment (e.g., programmers, fixtures).
- Develop, document, and improve repair and testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in the testing area.
- Collaborate with engineering for new product introduction and process improvements.
- Train and mentor technicians in best practices for testing and troubleshooting.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and apply 5S methodology.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuit boards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Proficient in using measurement tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
- Experience in programming electronic components (MCUs, EEPROMs, FPGAs, etc.).
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Ability to generate technical documentation and reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – required.
- Willingness to travel to the United States as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Technical degree or incomplete/completed engineering studies in electronics, mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic board testing and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience leading technical teams is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes (SMT, TH) is preferred.
