SMT Prod/Process Technician

 

Position Summary

Responsible to give support to the PCBA production process & equipment’s applying predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance to the production line to keep them at the optimum level of quality defined by the organization.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Keep equipment safe for operation. (Guards, Emergency Stops, Sequence of operation, etc.).
  • Work from engineering drawings, procedures, bill of materials and work instructions.
  • Maintain at 100% the corrective maintenance, calibration & setup of the equipment/fixtures used in the production process.
  • Test, inspection & troubleshooting of printed circuit boards to determinate root cause of the failures.
  • Give technical support to the operative/production area to achieve the productivity and quality of the process.
  • Possess a working knowledge of or ability to be trained in the different standards within the electronic industry.
  • Analyzing and solving the technical situations whether the equipment presents problems to achieve the production plan.
  • Generate & maintain equipment programs for current /new products.
  • Maintain inventory of critical parts of assigned equipment.
  • Report any critical situation in the line on time to the Engineer or Manager del area.
  • Corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain and follow up the 5’s rules.
  • Assist in other departments as need it.

 

 

Experience

 

  • Basic Knowledge in Electronic, Hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic.
  • 2 years of experience working within the manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to generate, use & execute to documentation, references, visual aids, and programs are correct and available when needed.
  • Ability to use & execution programs, fixtures, and troubleshoot processes.
  • Ability to interpret dimensional drawings.
  • Ability to use PC and Microsoft Office package.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Basic English
  • Ability to travel to USA is a Plus. 

Education and knowledge 

 

  • High School Diploma, technical career or Bachelor in Engineer (Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic) is a plus, 2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry preferable.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with manufacturing equipment & Electronics assemblies.
  • Knowledge of hand soldering techniques and requirements
  • Knowledge of Poka Yoke, FIFO, 5’s.
  • Knowledge of process tools such as PFMA, Process Flow.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and quality systems.
