Job Summary
Responsible for the assembly, integration, and inspection of electromechanical products following manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This position supports the production of AC and DC power systems by performing mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, component installation, and product integration activities while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble electromechanical products, subassemblies, and systems according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Install and secure electrical, mechanical, and electronic components into chassis, cabinets, and assemblies.
- Perform cable routing, wire termination, crimping, harness installation, and electrical interconnections.
- Mount PCBAs, power modules, transformers, fans, breakers, contactors, and other electromechanical components.
- Use hand tools, torque tools, power tools, and measuring devices following established procedures.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
- Verify proper assembly and workmanship through visual inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials, defects, or assembly issues to supervisors and engineering personnel.
- Maintain production records and documentation as required.
- Follow production schedules to meet daily and weekly manufacturing targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, ESD controls, and company policies.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Assist with packaging and preparation of finished products for shipment when required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic components.
- Experience with cable assembly, wire routing, crimping, and connector installation.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of manufacturing quality standards and workmanship requirements.
- Ability to identify assembly defects and perform basic troubleshooting during assembly.
- Knowledge of ESD handling practices.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Education / Experience
- Technical degree or vocational training in Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electromechanical assembly or manufacturing environments.
- Experience assembling electrical cabinets, industrial equipment, power systems, or related products is preferred.
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards is a plus.
- Experience with cable harness assembly and high-power electrical equipment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assembling power supplies, UPS systems, industrial control panels, power distribution equipment, or similar electromechanical products.
- Knowledge of torque specifications and controlled assembly processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety practices.
