Job Title:  Assembler

Job summary

A forward-moving company seeking an effective production associate to assemble and test product following standard work as part of a team in a work cell environment. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and a keen eye for quality and efficiency, ensuring day-to-day operations meet expectations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain good housekeeping practices and maintain work area to daily housekeeping standards.
• Must work effectively with co-workers as a team member and support safe, quality production.
• Perform and assist in other tasks as directed by supervision/management.
• Inspect general appearance of raw material, work in process and finished product.
• Execute standard work instruction with support from others on complex tasks.
• Operate and inspect all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
• Execute standard work with an acceptable degree of quality and limited quality discrepancies, showing a trend of improvement.
• Identify problems in execution of standard work and request help from others on resolution.
• Participate in problem solving teams to drive improvements in production performance.

Skills, knowledge and abilities

• Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Proven experience in a production environment.
• Must be quality conscious and possess ability to meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to manage and conduct physical activities as required by the job, including standing for extended periods of time

Education/Experience

• Elementary school degree.
