Job Title: Material and Inventory Transaction Specialist

The Material & Inventory Transaction Specialist plays a critical role in keeping materials and finished goods moving accurately and efficiently through the facility. You will support production and shipping by executing timely inventory transactions, delivering materials to point‑of‑use, and helping maintain real‑time inventory accuracy.
This hands‑on role works closely with production, stockroom, and shipping teams to prevent shortages, support order fulfillment, and ensure inventory movements are completed accurately and on time. This role reports to the Inventory Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute scheduled material replenishment routes and deliver materials to point‑of‑use locations.
• Respond to urgent material shortages and complete inventory system transactions immediately following material moves.
• Pull finished goods from production lines and move them to storage or shipping locations, completing all related system transactions.
• Process end‑of‑shift activities, including returns, overages, and reconciliation of inventory locations.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper use of barcode scanning, location control, FIFO practices, and standard work.
• Assist with cycle counts, discrepancy research, and inventory adjustments as directed.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Perform other inventory, logistics, or production support duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or training in inventory, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus.
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, manufacturing, or material handling environment.
- 1+ years of experience performing transactions in an ERP or MRP system and using basic computer tools.
- Due to the nature of UEI's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with barcode scanning, kitting, pick / pack / ship, and location-controlled inventory preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a sense of ownership for completely work accurately.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with production, inventory, and shipping teams.
• Familiarity with FIFO principles and basic stockroom organization practices.
