Key Responsibilities 

  • Receives and Processes Sales Order data and quotation requests, providing commit dates, acknowledgements and schedules as required.
  • Receives and Processes Production Forecast data, recommending new builds as appropriate
  • Runs and processes MRP, analysing results, converting planned orders, purchase requisitions as necessary
  • Analyses Inventory data for all Store locations, recommending strategic purchases, stock adjustments, slow moving and obsolete write offs etc.
  • Maintains and updates SAP Master data for logistics activities as necessary.
  • Provides advice, support and mentoring for less experienced members of the material planning team, demonstrating best practice at all times.
  • Contributes to Global and Local Supply Chain strategy, recommending process improvements and simplification. 
  • Approving and actioning applicable Engineering Change Requests and waivers.
  • Support New Product Development activities, with loading production demand, and following up with stakeholders.
  • Schedule Surface Mount assembly in alignment with requirements and capacity limitations.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience 

  • Demonstratable planning experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience) in a low/medium volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current Supply Chain techniques and best practice.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, MRP and MS Excel.
  • Working to KPI’s and performance monitoring
