Job Title:  Senior Global Sourcing Engineer

The Senior Global Sourcing Engineer is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, strengthen supply continuity, reduce material cost, and support business growth. This role will work closely with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier capability, manage sourcing projects, support production planning requirements, and drive value through cost analysis, negotiation, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do:

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies while identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier performance
• Lead supplier audits, capability assessments, risk evaluations, and supplier development initiatives to support sourcing and operational objectives
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize production planning, scheduling, capacity utilization, and delivery performance
• Analyze supplier capacity, production constraints, lead times, and material availability to support demand planning and SIOP activities
• Perform product cost analysis, develop should-cost models, benchmark pricing, and identify value engineering opportunities
• Drive cost reduction programs through sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, process improvements, and design optimization
• Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, service agreements, and commercial terms
• Achieve cost savings targets while maintaining strong supplier relationships, ethical sourcing practices, and compliance standards
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Planning teams to resolve quality, delivery, cost, and capacity challenges and support NPI projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sourcing efficiency, supplier performance, supply chain resilience, and business profitability

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field required
• 8+ years of experience in global sourcing, strategic procurement, manufacturing, supplier development, or supply chain functions
• Proven expertise in production planning, scheduling, costing, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction programs
• Experience managing global suppliers and working within complex manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs.  The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
