Job Description: 

Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for assisting the Quality Lead in performing quality inspections, creating cofC documentation packets, and assisting with lab testing requirements per mil standards to ensure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tests using test equipment and procedures. Testing includes hermeticity testing, temp cycle, thermal shock testing, lead fatigue testing, lead tension testing, pull tests, solderability of part, isolation resistance testing, moisture resistance testing, salt spray testing, etc.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection requirements following standard methods and procedures.
  • Use of measuring equipment e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
  • Blueprint reading, reviewing technical drawings, blueprints and product specifications to understand requirements.
  • Prepare quality and inspection plans, procedures, and instructions to assure that quality requirements are clearly defined and understood.
  • Create data packets e.g. cofC, CofA's, plating readings, mechanical data sheet, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or administration.

 

Requirements for Consideration:

  • 5-7 years in a quality manufacturing environment preferred
  • Capacity to work independently from general supervision (must be self-motivated once given direction/guidance)

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $50,000
Incentive:  No
