Job Description: 

Job Summary:

Sell all EIP products in assigned territory. Drive sales opportunities for new products, find and develop new customers. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies in the assigned territory to meet or exceed quota.
  • Utilize face-to-face sales calls, phone and written communications to develop customer relationships and close on sales.
  • Generate and develop sales leads.
  • Prepare formal responses to Requests for Quotes/Proposals that secure business at defined target margins.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality Teams as necessary to ensure proper certifications and documentation are available as needed to complete the sale
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of future business
  • Work with EIP engineers to develop new products and capabilities as needed to support goals
  • Prepare periodic reports on customer development, quotations, order and sales activity.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales budgets
  • Represent AME EIP at industry trade shows
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering discipline preferred.
  • 5-years of experience in an industrial business-to-business environment selling electro-mechanical products
  • Ability to comprehend technical specifications of EIP products.
  • Proficiency in the personal selling process, especially overcoming objections and closing on the sale.
  • Practice a professional approach to written and verbal communications.
  • Highly developed personal organization and time management skills; self-motivated.
  • Ability to:
    • Motivate colleagues to work within tight timeframes.
    • Simultaneously manage several projects in support of customer and business needs
    • Work under pressure in an environment of changing priorities.
    • Deal with conflict in a professional and constructive manner.
    • Participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a web-based CRM system (Salesforce). Possess basic skills in the use of an ERP system.
  • The position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule with travel within the defined territory up to 30% of time.

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $90,000
Salary Maximum:  $120,000
Incentive:  Yes
