Job Description:
Job Summary:
Sell all EIP products in assigned territory. Drive sales opportunities for new products, find and develop new customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies in the assigned territory to meet or exceed quota.
- Utilize face-to-face sales calls, phone and written communications to develop customer relationships and close on sales.
- Generate and develop sales leads.
- Prepare formal responses to Requests for Quotes/Proposals that secure business at defined target margins.
- Work with Engineering and Quality Teams as necessary to ensure proper certifications and documentation are available as needed to complete the sale
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of future business
- Work with EIP engineers to develop new products and capabilities as needed to support goals
- Prepare periodic reports on customer development, quotations, order and sales activity.
- Assist in the preparation of sales budgets
- Represent AME EIP at industry trade shows
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering discipline preferred.
- 5-years of experience in an industrial business-to-business environment selling electro-mechanical products
- Ability to comprehend technical specifications of EIP products.
- Proficiency in the personal selling process, especially overcoming objections and closing on the sale.
- Practice a professional approach to written and verbal communications.
- Highly developed personal organization and time management skills; self-motivated.

- Simultaneously manage several projects in support of customer and business needs
- Work under pressure in an environment of changing priorities.
- Deal with conflict in a professional and constructive manner.
- Participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a web-based CRM system (Salesforce). Possess basic skills in the use of an ERP system.
- The position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule with travel within the defined territory up to 30% of time.
