Job Title:  Quality Engineer

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors the quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.

• Prepares quality and inspection plans, procedures, and instructions to assure that quality requirements are clearly defined and understood.

• Participates in the review and disposition of non-conforming materials.

• Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.

• Participates in cross-training efforts, interfacing with other departments to expand skills and knowledge for advancement.

• Develops programs for CMM/ MicroVu.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager or administration.

Requirements for Consideration

• 2-5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Experience with programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or an equivalent of relevant professional experience. 

• Capacity to work independently from general supervision (must be self-motivated once given direction/guidance).
